FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How do you personalise each child’s learning?
Our educators observe how each child plays, communicates and solves problems, and use these observations to guide their next steps. Our very low ratios allow them to know each child well.
Which curriculum do you follow?
Our programme is built on the Toolkit Curriculum powered by HEI Schools, a holistic, play-based Finnish curriculum co-founded by the University of Helsinki. It gives our teachers structure, learning resources and assessment tools.
Which languages are spoken at Leikki?
English is the main language. For children under 3, it is the language of play, routines and learning. From around age 3, French and Arabic are gradually introduced through dedicated learning time.
What are your adult-to-child ratios?
Planned ratios range from one adult for three children in the youngest group to one adult for eight children aged 5 to 6.
How do you look after children’s wellbeing?
A nurse is on site and we work in partnership with a child psychologist. Our educators help children name their emotions and navigate friendships and frustrations.
How do we stay connected with families?
Through the Leikki Parent App, daily updates, progress reports and parent-teacher meetings. Workshops, Coffee Talks and events strengthen our community.
Do you offer extended day and camps?
Yes. Extended Day is available from 08:00 to 18:00 on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, and until 16:00 on Wednesdays, upon registration and subject to availability. Camps run during school holidays.
How do I enrol my child?
Join our waitlist via the contact form, then book a visit to discover our spaces and talk with our team about your child’s next steps.
